For now, the story doesn't look terribly original. A dinosaur and his new-found pet human trying to get home after being separated from family, with the dinosaur learning how to conquer his natural cowardice. However, Pixar does have a way of slipping in clever twists and moments of beauty and emotion, so I'm sure the movie will be very good.
One interesting fact to note is that this is the first movie with computer-generated clouds - in previous movies, the clouds had been sort of painted onto the sky (on a computer, but in more of a 2-dimensional way). From the new trailer (and from this beautiful earlier trailer, here), the high-tech clouds aren't the only element that add a lot of beauty and realism to the landscape across which Arlo and Spot travel. All in all, I can't wait to see it!
